The holiday season is definitely upon us. Time for warm fires, warm smiles, and of course tasty, warm sides! So as you head out or host this holiday, let us help you with some ideas for homemade goodness. Perhaps you're not quite ready to make the whole turkey dinner, (don't worry...we aren't either) but you're also a step up from just picking something up at the local grocery store. So this month we've got some seasonal sides that are sure to please any gathering. This easy recipe is a well-used family favorite. It is light, fluffy, and just a little bit sweet. So if you've been burned by dry, coarse, and heavy cornbread....then I encourage you to give this one a try. You may not even want any added butter and honey saving you time and calories:) We got some rave reviews on this when we took this to our recent neighborhood chili cook-off. So whip some up to go with YOUR soup or chili, and then eat the leftovers for breakfast...if there are any. Happy Fall! Ingredients: 1 cup corn meal 1 3/4 cup flour 2 tablespoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 3/4 cup milk 1/3 cup honey 1/2 cup oil 2 eggs Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit then bake for 30 minutes in a 9 in x 13 in casserole dish.
