Just like Abuelita or Ibarra except it's homemade! If you want a thicker hot chocolate, then use less water when steeping your cinnamon sticks. It's a great drink to have during a polar vortex, or right after shoveling tons of snow. This champurrado recipe will keep you craving for more snow and cold...or maybe just for more hot chocolate! Try out this tasty drink for yourself! Ingredients: 2 cups water 2 cinnamon sticks Handful (or 2) of chocolate 2 tablespoons corn starch 1/4 cup brown sugar 3 cups whole milk Bring water to a boil with cinnamon sticks. Once water boils turn off heat and steep for 10 minutes. Chop chocolate for easier melting. Remove cinnamon sticks from water and add corn starch. Immediately mix starch so that it doesn't clump. Add brown sugar, chocolate, and milk. Turn heat back on to medium, and mix. Bring to a simmer and serve!
