The key to a GREAT buttercream frosting is AIR! Get as much air into your butter and sugar as you can. That will create a fluffy frosting your family will fall for! Buttercream frosting has always been my favorite kind (although cream cheese frosting is quite delicious as well), and I was excited to get this perfect silky smooth creation together as quick as possible. If you're a beginner at making frosting then try making this easy confectionery favorite! Ingredients: 2 sticks butter 2 cups powdered sugar 1 to 2 tablespoons vanilla extract Make sure butter is at room temperature. Beat butter for 8 minutes on medium-high speed. Sift powdered sugar so that there are no lumps. Add sugar 1 tablespoon at a time, while mixing, until everything is incorporated. Add vanilla extract. Mix on high for 3 to 4 more minutes. Spread right away and enjoy!
