Are you getting tired of your same old cereal for breakfast? Or are you trying to save money and keep from buying breakfast sandwiches most days? Oatmeal is your answer! It is filling, healthy, wholesome, and inexpensive. Plus there are lots of different toppings to try. Try it with nuts, fruit, or honey too. This recipe is especially good because it is made with milk and butter which keeps you fuller longer and makes it an extra creamy treat. You are welcome to do it in the microwave, but the stove top type always tastes better. So change up your morning routine....your wallet, taste buds, and energy level will thank you for it. Ingredients: 1 cup oats 1 1/2 cups whole milk 1/2 cup water 1 tablespoon salted butter Cover and simmer on low for 10 to 12 minutes Mix occasionally Remove from heat when it starts bubbling Top with anything you like. Here are a few suggestions: Brown sugar and craisins Brown sugar and raisins or just maple syrup Enjoy!
