Mac-N-Cheese is no longer just for kids!!! Although it was made primarily for them this Thanksgiving, it was enjoyed (and polished off quickly) by all of us. This rich and creamy treat is one my sister-in-law's specialties. She has been perfecting it over the years with various pastas and types of cheeses. The garlic crutons give it that grown-up look and extra crunch. So if you're looking for a new side to take to your next dinner or simply ready to WOW the family this winter...give this homemade happiness a try. And if you're like us don't count on having any leftovers. INGREDIENTS... 2 pounds Rigatoni pasta (or any pasta with RIDGES to hold the cheeses) ...For the sauce: 1 stick butter 2-3 tablespoons flour 2.5 cups whole milk Salt and pepper to taste 1/4 teaspoon fresh nutmeg 1.5 cups Cheddar Cheese 2 cups Gouda 1.5 cups Fontina ...For the topping: 2 cups shreded Parmesan Cheese 1 cup grated Parmesan Cheese 1 bag (5 oz) garlic croutons 1 stick melted butter Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes
