When my cousin (founder and owner of Sidro Doughnuts) came over to visit from the Philippines, I immediately told him that he should make some doughnuts for my YouTube Channel. He, thankfully, obliged and here we are. This is a cake doughnut so it's not fluffy, but it is quite delicious. Try this doughnut with a cup of hot apple cider or your favorite coffee, and I guarantee that you will not regret it. You can click on the button below for his Facebook page : ) Dry Ingredients: 4 cups flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soada 1 teaspoon nutmeg 1/2 to 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon salt Wet Ingredients: 4 tablespoons butter at room temperature 1 cup sugar creamed with the butter 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 - 2/3 cup apple cider Combine dry and wet ingredients Roll out to about 1/4 inch in height Cut out doughnut patterns Fill medium saucepan about 3 inches with Canola oil Heat to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Centigrade) Fry on each side for 45 seconds
