Canned tomato soup makes for a low budget quarantine meal plan. Canned soup made better with some home ingredients is an inexpensive way to get better. Ingredients: Canned tomato soup ½ an onion Cherry tomatoes 1 clove of garlic Pat of butter Chicken broth Crushed red pepper Crushed black pepper Italian seasoning Salt 1 to 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream Sour cream (optional) Simmer chopped onion and butter in low to medium heat. Add minced garlic once onion caramelizes. Then add quartered cherry tomatoes and simmer 2 minutes. Pour in your canned tomato soup. Fill can ¾ of the way with chicken broth and add to your mix. Add in crushed red pepper, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and salt to taste. Finally pour in your heavy cream for a thicker soup. Turn off heat and serve with some sour cream.
