You will need to put it in the oven for about an hour so that every kernel is lathered in that delicious, tasty caramel sauce. Ingredients: 1/2 cup popcorn kernels 1/2 cup butter 1 cup brown sugar 1/3 cup corn syrup 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon baking soda Pop your popcorn and pour into a casserole dish or two. To make the caramel: Combine butter, sugar, syrup, and salt in a medium sized sauce pan. Bring to a boil, and then boil for 5 minutes mixing constantly.
