If you enjoy the Orange Chicken from Panda Express, then try out this recipe. It's a simple recipe that takes some time to prepare, but it's worth it! You get the same amazing flavor that you can enjoy from the restaurant but with the convenience of being at home. The orange glaze is what makes the flavor stick to your stomach. My wife came home from work as I was putting this together, and she was very pleased with the whole experience: from the amazing smells to the pleasant flavor! I was a rock star that night! Ingredients: For the Marinade... 3 chicken breasts cut into 1 inch cubes 1/4 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup orange juice 1/4 cup cornstarch 1/4 cup flour (optional) For the Glaze... Canola oil 1 teaspoon chili flakes 1 teaspoon ginger 1 tablespoon garlic 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup orange juice 1/4 cup vinegar 2 tablespoons soy sauce 2 tablespoons water and cornstarch Sesame seeds Combine the marinade ingredients with your chicken in a bowl and cover for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator. (optional) Add 1/4 cup flour to your chicken right before frying. Fry chicken in oil for 2 minutes on each side, on medium heat then set aside. In the same frying pan, using the oil that fried your chicken, add all the glaze ingredients except for the water/cornstarch. Mix until sugar melts completely. Add water/cornstarch making sure you stir it immediately after pouring. Add your chicken and mix until everything is well combined (use low to medium heat). Serve with Jasmine rice and enjoy!
