You don't have to be southern to appreciate biscuits and gravy. It is an easy, filling, and delicious way to start your day...or end it even. If you have some breakfast sausage on hand, you most likely have all the other ingredients. Feel free to use ready-made biscuits...cause hey...the gravy is from scratch. But if you really must, go ahead and bake those up too. If you would like your gravy to be thinner, just use a little less flour. The more flour you have and the longer it sits, the thicker it will be. However thicker gravy lets you throw it in a biscuit and eat it like a sandwich if you are in a hurry. Feel free to customize your spices and add extra ingredients like green pepper or cheese into our gravy. You can also start with spicy sausage for an extra kick! Ingredients: 1 pound ground sausage 3 cups milk 4 tablespoons flour Granulated garlic Powdered onion Black pepper Cayenne pepper Salt Brown sausage on medium to high heat in a pan. Add flour, milk, and seasonings. Mix constantly until sauce thickens. Remove from heat to thicken more. Bake your biscuits while your gravy cooks. Pour gravy over biscuits and enjoy!
