Pinkies up! It's time for some high tea. That, of course, calls for some dainty, delicious scones! The recipe is actually very easy, but the result is far from ordinary. The key is to not over knead the dough. So do your best to get as many scones carved out the first time. You may also glaze the top with egg for a brown, crispy coating, but it's not really necessary. These scones are a flaky treat any time of the day, but they taste best with clotted cream and strawberry jam. The next time you want to make scones from scratch just check out this recipe....cheers! Ingredients: 2 cups self rising flour 1 tablespoon sugar 1 egg 1 cup whole milk Mix dry ingredients together into a bowl, and form a well. Add egg to milk, mix, then add to the dry ingredients. Mix until flour absorbs the egg-milk mixture. Do not over mix otherwise your scones will be quite dense. Flatten dough about 1 inch in height on a flour topped table. Cut out circles. Bake at 350 °F for 10 to 12 minutes. Serve with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
