Making homemade butter is a great exercise in diyness. It’s cheaper to buy butter than it is to make it, but making butter at home does give you a sense of accomplishment. If you want to work out your arms, then it’s definitely a great way to do some upper body exercises. I, however, used a KitchenAid mixer...it won’t take away from your self-worth if you do so. So check out this video if you’re interested in making butter in a KitchenAid. This diy butter recipe will expand your horizons. Enjoy! Ingredients: 1 pint heavy whipping cream Ice water Pour cream into your mixer. Mix on high for about 10 minutes or until your cream separates. Pour your buttermilk into a jar and store for later use. Keep the butter in your mixer and pour some ice cold water on it and mix (this removes any excess water IN the butter). Pour out the water, rinse, and repeat until the butter washes clear. Store butter in an air tight jar and enjoy your domestic creation.
