I have fond memories of coming home from boarding school and eating mountains of these cookies! The combination of chocolate and peanut butter was addictive and the peanut butter always made the cookies softer. They are a good twist on the regular chocolate chip cookie recipe. So as we are approaching cooler temps and family gatherings serve up what's bound to be a new favorite. Using a beater helps to make these extra fluffy and makes even the dough hard to resist. Make sure not to over bake these as they will harden up even after they are out of the oven. Get your kids involved and enjoy these yummies with some milk....or in my husband's case...ice cream. As you can see, our 2 year old thoroughly enjoyed these, and I justified it by thinking.."At least he is getting some protein." Cookies.....truly a delight for all seasons! Ingredients: 1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup peanut butter 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup granulated sugar Mix until creamy 2 eggs beaten separately 2 tablespoons light corn syrup 2 tablespoons water 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 2 1/2 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 cups chocolate chips 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 to 14 minutes
