If you're feeling under the weather try this quick and easy ginger tea recipe. From what I understand this is a natural cold remedy. Although this recipe uses ginger powder I recommend using fresh grated ginger for your tea. I'm sure many of you know the benefits of ginger (anti-inflammatory, fights infections, and treats nausea), but did you know that cayenne pepper also has a few benefits (anti-irritant, detox, and anti-bacterial). Garlic is also a natural anti-bacterial. I recommend having some yogurt or kefir after having some of this tea to reintroduce the good bacteria into your gut. Main ingredients: 1 teaspoon garlic 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder 1 tablespoon lemon juice (or juice 1 lemon) 1 teaspoon honey Pinch of cayenne pepper 1 cup hot water

If you don't have the traditional taco ingredients on hand, but you do have a tortilla, you can have your own custom made, one of a kind taco of your own. We didn't have any taco meat so my wife made herself some chicken tacos. They were actually chopped up chicken nuggets but she didn't mind because she was pregnant and hungry...was that being redundant? I hope you enjoy this quick chicken taco recipe. Ingredients: Corn tortillas Any leftover meat available Mustard Black beans Diced Tomatoes Cheddar cheese Microwave 30 to 45 seconds Café Bombón (aka Cortado Condensada) was a recipe created in Valencia, Spain. It spread gradually to the rest of the country, and has been modified throughout Europe and Asia. A café bombón uses espresso served with sweetened condensed milk in a 1:1 ratio whereas the Asian version uses ground coffee and sweetened condensed milk at the same ratio. This recipe uses the Asian version. For café bombón, the condensed milk is added to the espresso, but if you want a layered look pour the milk first. It's basically like Vietnamese Iced Coffee without the ice. Enjoy! Ingredients: Strong coffee 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk Whipped cream Top with cinnamon A classic breakfast baked in an oven. How can you go wrong? Some preparation is needed for this easy baked oatmeal recipe: like melting butter and that's it. A few simple ingredients like brown sugar and vanilla extract help it taste quite good. Try this classic oats breakfast with some milk and you're in for a healthy morning. Ingredients: 3 cups oatmeal 1/2 cup brown sugar 2 teaspoons cinnamon 2 teaspoons baking powder Smash out lumps from baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup milk 1/2 cup melted butter 2 eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla extract Mix well Butter 9 by 9 casserole dish Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes Cool 5 minutes and enjoy! This savory garlic monkey bread recipe is a treat for the taste buds. If you don't like telling people you made "monkey bread" you can use the classy term Pull Apart Garlic Bread. You can even add some sausage or pepperoni to make it a Pull Apart Pizza Bread! Whichever name you want to give it this easy cheesy garlic bread recipe will be the talk of your next party. Most recipes have you make Parmesan Garlic Monkey Bread, but I enjoy the flavor of Cheddar mixed in as well for a gooey, savory, mouth-watering sensation. Ingredients: 1 roll of biscuits Parmesan Cheese Cheddar Cheese 1/2 stick of butter 2 tablespoons of garlic Italian seasoning Pepperoni or Sausage (to make Pizza Bread) Procedure: Oil bread pan Cheddar cheese on bottom layer Use 1 roll of biscuits and cut into sixths Melt 1/2 stick of butter with 2 tablespoons of garlic Add Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese Layer the cheese, biscuit, and butter Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes Cool for 5 minutes Enjoy! Making your own sweetened condensed milk is so much cheaper than buying it at the store. Also known as Milkmad or Mithai Mate, this recipe requires only 2 ingredients: milk and sugar. A normal can costs $1.40 at Aldi. Based on the amounts used in this video you spend $0.25 on the milk and $0.13 for the sugar. That is quite a deal. I recommend you learn how to make sweetened condensed milk, if not for the savings, do it for the satisfaction of making it yourself. Enjoy Ingredients: 2 cups milk 2/3 cup sugar Stir until sugar dissolves in medium heat Then simmer on low for 40 to 45 minutes Remove froth Remove from heat when milk is halved Store when cooled off |
